Admissions at K. B. Joshi Institute

Admissions are conducted as per the norms of the Government of Maharashtra, Admission Regulating Authority (ARA), Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), and respective universities.

Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)

Duration: 3 Years (6 Semesters)

Medium: English

Eligibility Criteria
  • Passed 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent examination.
  • Mathematics / Statistics / Accountancy as a compulsory subject.
  • Minimum aggregate marks: 45% for General Category
  • Minimum aggregate marks: 40% for Reserved / EWS / PwD categories (Maharashtra State)
  • Valid non-zero score in MAH-BCA / BBA / BMS / BBM CET.
  • For Women and Girls
Admission Process
  • Admissions are carried out through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by CET Cell, Maharashtra, as per ARA and DTE guidelines.
Scholarships & Freeships
  • Government of Maharashtra MAHADBT scholarships and freeships are available for eligible students (including Open category).
Fees Structure
  • As prescribed every year by the Fee Regulating Authority (FRA).

Bachelor of Science – Information Technology (B.Sc. IT)

Duration: 3 Years (6 Semesters)

Medium: English

Eligibility Criteria Students from Maharashtra
  • Passed 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent examination.
  • Minimum aggregate marks: 45% for General Category
  • Minimum aggregate marks: 40% for Reserved / EWS / PwD categories (Maharashtra State)
OR
  • Passed an examination from a recognized board equivalent to HSC
  • Students without Mathematics at Std. XII must complete a bridge course in Mathematics and pass the university-conducted test before Semester I examination.
OR
  • Passed any three-year Government-recognized Diploma programme in Second Class.
AND
  • For Women and Girls
Students from Outside Maharashtra
  • University approval is mandatory.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

Duration: 2 Years (4 Semesters)

Medium: English

Eligibility Criteria
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (B.E., B.Tech, B.Sc., B.Com, B.A., BCA, etc.).
  • Mathematics studied at 10+2 level or graduation level.
  • Minimum aggregate marks: 50% for General Category
  • Minimum aggregate marks: 45% for Reserved Categories (Maharashtra State)
  • Valid non-zero score in MCA CET / BBA / BMS / BBM CET.
  • Final-year students are also eligible to apply.

Admission Process
  • Admissions through CAP Process as per ARA and DTE norms, including online registration, document verification, and choice filling based on CET rank.
